Animals have moods just like ourselves and sometimes we are lucky enough to capture them with the lens. This quick blog will show a few examples of some horses and a longhorn. This first group of photos will show the original shot and then how I enhanced and cropped it to achieve the final outcome of two horses bonding.
Here is the original version of these cuties just hanging out. Looking closer, there seems to be a special connection between the two on the right so I go in with a tighter shot…..
Not sure if this cropped version is that much better, yet the two on the right draw me in, so let's look at one more version….
Guess I really like tight shots so this one is my favorite. Love the way these two beautiful animals are connecting - can't you just feel their attachment? Now we'll look at two versions of a horse looking off into the distance…..
Check out the lovely soft morning light and the diagonal fence lines drawing the viewer to the horse. Wonder what he's thinking. I cropped him and not sure which one I prefer…..
I like seeing him closer but miss feeling the distance felt in the first image. One day I found this Texas longhorn hanging out by the tree trying to scratch his head. I don't think he like me around! He's a handsome guy and I like the way he's looking at me.
I've always wondered if they get bored just hanging out in the pasture day in and out. He's very symbolic of Texas and the West. We will end this blog with a close shot of a horse's blue eye. I can feel his soul-how about you?
Thank you for spending the time to read my blog!
