What does a photographer do when she has lost her inspiration and has a trigger happy finger itching to press the shutter button? She grabs her new husband and heads to Lakeside Park in Highland Park, TX. She sets him on a bench with his trigger happy cell phone finger and heads for the water waiting for nature's call to action.
She scans the colorful beauty of the trees, grass and water and randomly snaps away at the ducks and geese…one coming in for a landing and others swimming and playing in the dusk lit scenery.
The trees and clouds reflect boldly in the water creating a kaleidoscope of colors and shapes.
The many beautiful trees, flowers and grass homogenize together creating a scene that summons the company of men, women, children and dogs. And photographers! Here are some who were summoned…..
Last moment of light.
The day is over and the sun is about done. As a car drives by Dick's head is haloed by the oncoming light.
A couple of gents looking for the right tree and view for their end-of-day panacea.
Three and three - trees and bench guests…..
Glorious tree with its new light green leaves showing off….
A cedar tree, I believe….
Last little swim before heading for safe harbor...
Spring flowers enhancing the overall effect…...
A little sick humor.
And, let's end with a few portrait shots of my one-week old husband making goofy faces!
A study of unique expressions with perfect light!
Thanks for sharing my fun photo day at the park. If you are feeling lackluster, head to the park with your camera - there won't be a shortage of interesting subjects to shoot!
